Delhi Jal Board JE Recruitment 2026: 100 Junior Engineer Posts, ₹55,932 Salary — Apply Before April 8

Delhi Jal Board JE Recruitment 2026 — Overview

NITCON Limited has released Advertisement No. 19/2025-26 inviting applications for the post of Junior Engineer in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical disciplines. The total number of vacancies is 100 and the engagement is on a purely contract basis. Selected candidates will be deployed at the Delhi Jal Board office located at Varunalaya Phase II, Jhandewalan, Karol Bagh, New Delhi. The monthly salary offered is ₹55,932. Applications can be submitted only through online mode at applicationportal.in. The last date to apply is April 8, 2026 and the exam is scheduled for April 12, 2026.


Vacancy Breakdown

Out of the 100 total posts, 80 vacancies are for Junior Engineer (Civil) and the remaining 20 vacancies are for Junior Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical).


Delhi Jal Board JE Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

There are two routes through which you can qualify for this recruitment.

Route 1 — Diploma holders: If you hold a Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with at least 60% aggregate marks, you need a minimum of 3 years of work experience in any Central or State Government organisation, PSU, or ULB utility sector such as water and sewer, electricity, gas, or telecom.

Route 2 — Degree holders: If you hold a B.E. or B.Tech in the relevant engineering discipline with at least 60% aggregate marks, you need only 0 to 1 year of experience in a similar government or utility sector organisation.

Age Limit

The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum is 30 years as of the cut-off date of April 1, 2026. However, no candidate above 35 years of age will be considered under any category, even after relaxation.

Age relaxation of 5 years is available for SC, ST, and PwD candidates. OBC (NCL) candidates get a relaxation of 3 years.


Salary

Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly remuneration of ₹55,932. No additional allowances are paid over and above this amount. Statutory deductions and taxes will be applied as per prevailing government rules.


Job Responsibilities

Junior Engineer (Civil)

On the office side, the role includes preparing estimates, drawings and site plans, monitoring water and sewerage maintenance, preparing contractor bills, and handling store accounts. On the field side, duties cover supervision of departmental and contractor works, inspection of water and sewer lines, detection of leakages, and checking the feasibility of new water and sewer connections.

Junior Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical)

Office duties include checking equipment measurements, assisting Assistant Engineers, preparing estimates and NITs, and verifying energy consumption bills. Field duties involve supervising the operation and maintenance of pumping stations, tube wells, and Ranney Wells to ensure uninterrupted water supply across the command area.


Delhi Jal Board JE Selection Process

The selection will happen in two stages.

In the first stage, candidates will appear for a Computer Based Test (CBT). It is a 60-minute MCQ-based exam with 100 questions in total. The paper covers Reasoning (15 questions), Aptitude (15 questions), English (15 questions), General Awareness (15 questions), and Technical Knowledge in the relevant engineering discipline (40 questions).

In the second stage, only candidates shortlisted from the CBT equal to the number of posts will be called for document verification and personal interaction.

The CBT is scheduled for April 12, 2026 (Sunday) at examination centres in Delhi only.


Application Fee

Candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay ₹885 inclusive of GST. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories need to pay ₹531 inclusive of GST. Payment can be made online via net banking, debit card, credit card, or bank transfer. The fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.


Delhi Jal Board JE How to Apply

Visit the official portal at applicationportal.in and complete your online registration using your Aadhaar number. Fill in your personal, educational, and experience details carefully. Upload all required documents including your 10th and 12th marksheets, diploma or degree certificates, and experience certificates. Pay the application fee online and submit the form before April 8, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

Only one application per Aadhaar number is permitted. Multiple applications will be rejected outright. Keep a copy of your registration form and fee receipt safely for future reference.


Important Dates

The last date to submit the online application is April 8, 2026. The CBT exam will be held on April 12, 2026 which is a Sunday. Admit cards will be available for download 2 days before the exam, that is around April 10, 2026. The cut-off date for calculating age and post-qualification experience is April 1, 2026.
